Day Tour Options on November 29 and 30, 2021
Option A: Ubud Highlights (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) – A full day excursion to discover the highlights of Ubud, center of Balinese art and crafts. As you drive towards Ubud, discover the village of Celek which has been famous for its gold and silver workshops for centuries and the village of Mas known for its woodcarving. Observe the artisans as they carefully create pieces of art. Proceed to Ubud town center to visit Saraswati Temple, dedicated to the Hindu Goddess of Arts and Knowledge. The excursion continues with a short drive for a guided walking tour of Ubud Palace where the Balinese royal family still reside and to explore Ubud Art Market where you can practice your price-haggling skills.
We will then enjoy an authentic Balinese lunch served at a local restaurant in Ubud. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisure walk through the little forest in the center of Ubud where the long tailed macaques reside and believed to be guarding the temple inside the compound of Sacred Monkey Forest Temple. A final stop at the Temple Of Goa Gajah is scheduled before we head back to the hotel. (Lunch included)
Option B: The Beauty of Kintamani (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) A full day excursion with a drive to Batubulan to enjoy the beauty and gracefulness of the skillful Balinese dancers. The dance expresses the eternal fight between good and evil spirts and ends with the magical Kersi (dagger) dance. Proceed to the village of Kemenuh to visit the talented Balinese woodcarving artist in their tradtional workshops. You will see how they carve beautiful statues and works from a single block of wood. Continue to have a coffee break and see how Luwak coffee is produced. The journey continues to Kintamani for an enjoyable lunch with breathtaking view of Lake Batur and the active volcano, Mount Batur. Afterwards we drive to Tirta Empul, “The Fountain of Youth” and the Holy Spring. Return back to the hotel and enjoy a restful evening. (Lunch included)
Option C: Valley of the Balinese Kings (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) A full day excursion begins with the Tegalang Rice Terraces for photo opportunities. Proceed to the Royal Monument of Gunung Kawi where you can admire the natural setting and the royal tomb of the Balinese kings. The visit includes the Tirta Empul Water Temple, one of the most famous pilgrimage spots for Hindu Balinese. Discover the importance of holy spring waters that have different importance and meanings. Our last visit today is to Kehen Temple before we head back to the hotel to enjoy a restful evening. (Lunch included)
