Patagonian International Marathon, Half-Marathon and 10K
RACE DATE: September 5, 2020
RACE TIME: Marathon 11:00 AM, Half-Marathon and 10K at 12:00 PM
COURSE: A point to point course located just to the southern boarder of Torres del Paine National Park. The shared Finish Line for all distances is located at our host hotel, Hotel Rio Serrano located in Villa Serrano. The routes will follow a roads that vary from asphalt to gravel zones. The terrain is mid-mountain, so the roads are very twist, with curves and changing slopes. The altitude along the route we be between 130 – 850 feet above sea level.
CLIMATE: The Spring Patagonia climate is variable and unpredictable. Expect temperatures to range from 35F to 50F degrees. Even though September has the lowest average winds, don’t be surprised if the Patagonian winds are an issue on race day. Light rain is also a possibility. Therefore, you should come prepared for everything.
ENTRY FEE: All tour packages include the race entry fee, race t-shirt and finisher medal. Your entry is guaranteed after receipt of a completed tour application form and deposit.
TIME LIMIT: The Marathon course time limit is seven (7) hours. The time limit for the Half-Marathon and 10K is six (6) hours.
DIFFICULTY: Difficult. Challenging hilly course, Patagonia wind and weather can be an issue.
