Sunday, March 10: Following an early breakfast, we will begin the two day tour with the first stop being Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood.  We will visit the Church of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph, and then continue, via Kana, to Tiberias, the lovely resort town.  We will drive along the Sea of Galilee to visit Capernaum and view the ruins of the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught.  Other stops include Tabgha, the site of the miracle of fish and loaves located at the foot of the Golan Heights and Yardenit, the famous baptismal site where the Jordan River leaves the Sea of Galilee towards the Dead Sea. Tonight you will overnight at the Kibbutz Lavi Hotel. Located in Kibbutz Lavi, the hotel is an area of lush vegetation surrounded by green fields where you will enjoy the magnificent views of the region of the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights.   (Breakfast and dinner included)

Monday, March 11:  Following breakfast and check-out, we will head to the border of Israel and Lebanon to Rosh HaNikra and descend by cable car into the underwater grottoes and admire the spectacular natural formation. From here we will drive along the coast to Acre, the Old City recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Site.  Here you can walk through the market, the mosque and the old port; and visit the remarkable underground Crusader City and crypt and learn about their fascinating history and culture. We will continue down the coast to Caesarea, the ancient Roman capital and port.  Here you will enjoy a walking tour of the theatre and the archaeological ruins and excavations. The final stop will be Haifa for a scenic view of the City, the Port and the magnificent Bahai Gardens and Shrine. Tonight you will overnight in Tel Aviv. (Breakfast included)

  • Only a small overnight bag is needed and recommended for your overnight at the Lavi Hotel.  You can leave your luggage with the bellman at your Tel Aviv Hotel, as you will be returning here for the next two nights.
