Sunday, May 12 – Arrive in Hong Kong and receive a cordial welcome by our English speaking local representative who will coordinate your ride to the Kowloon Shangri La Hotel. After checking in, you have free time to explore this fascinating city.
Monday, May 13 – Whether you are visiting Hong Kong for the first time or returning after a long absence, today’s half-day Island Tour will provide you with a good orientation of Hong Kong. The tour circles the beautiful island with stops at Stanley Market, where you can stroll through Stanley's famous seaside village bazaar, and Aberdeen Fishing Village, home of the "Boat People" whose lifestyle has not changed much since the early days of their settlement. A 15-minute sampan ride is included. You will also view the most popular beach in town, Recluse Bay Beach, and visit an exquisite jewelry factory where the world's most famous jewelry-setting art is made. You will finish your tour of Hong Kong Island with a panoramic ride that brings you to Victoria Peak where the harbor and the city sprawl in front of you. (breakfast and lunch included)
Tuesday, May 14 – Today is a free day at your leisure. Some suggestions include a visit to see the Big Buddha (Tian Tan Buddha) or Disneyland Hong Kong or Macau! Please reach out to us for ideas. (breakfast included)
Wednesday, May 15 - After breakfast today we will depart for the Hong Kong Airport for your flight to Beijing. (breakfast included)
Tuesday, May 21 - After breakfast we will check out of the hotel and transfer to the Beijing Airport for a 90 minute flight to Xi'an. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by an English-speaking local representative who will coordinate the transfer to the hotel. The group will tour the enormous city wall and then have a guided walking tour through the Muslim quarter of Old Town. This afternoon check-in to the Sofitel Xian on Renmin Square. Please note that lunch today is on the plane. Tonight we enjoy the famous dumplings at Defachang's. (breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Wednesday, May 22 - After breakfast we will visit the famous life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors who have been guarding the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi for 2,000 years and the Horse Museum. We will have lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist pagoda located in southern Xi'an. The Tang Dynasty Dinner Show is included this evening. Thursday, May 23 – After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Beijing. (breakfast included)
