Option One | Post-Race Xi’an Extension: May 18 – 20, 2021​

Tuesday, May 18​ - After breakfast we will check out of the hotel and transfer to the Beijing Airport for a 90 minute flight to Xi'an. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by an English-speaking local representative who will coordinate the transfer to the hotel.  The group will tour the enormous city wall and then have a guided walking tour through the Muslim quarter of Old Town. This afternoon check-in to the Sofitel Xian on Renmin Square. Please note that lunch today is on the plane. Tonight we enjoy the famous dumplings at Defachang's.  (breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Wednesday, May 19​ - After breakfast we will visit the famous life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors who have been guarding the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi for 2,000 years and the Horse Museum. We will have lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Wild Goose Pagoda, a Buddhist pagoda located in southern Xi'an. The Tang Dynasty Dinner Show is included this evening. (breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Thursday, May 20 – After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Beijing. (breakfast included)

Option Two | Post-Race Three City with Yangtze River Cruise: May 18 - May 26, 2021​

Tuesday, May 18​ - After breakfast we will check out of the hotel and transfer to the Beijing Airport for a 90 minute flight to Xi'an. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by an English-speaking local representative who will coordinate the transfer to the hotel.  The group will tour the enormous city wall and then have a guided walking tour through the Muslim quarter of Old Town. This afternoon check-in to the Hilton Xi’an. Please note that lunch today is on the plane. Tonight we enjoy the famous dumplings at Defachang's.  (breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Thursday, May 20​ – After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Chongqing. We will enjoy a city tour of Chongqing highlighting the hilly city. We will experience the local specialty, a hot pot dinner, before boarding the m/v Victoria Jenna. (breakfast and dinner included)

Friday, May 21​ – Join us for early yoga on the bow of the ship before breakfast, or sleep in. As we travel down the Yangtze River we will see dramatic landscapes along the gorge. Today will offer the option to visit Fengdu “Jade Emperor” (additional cost applies). (breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Saturday, May 22​ – As we continue down the Yangtze River we will see more dramatic landscapes carved by the mighty Yangtze River. Today we will offer you the optional opportunity to visit the White Emperor City  (additional cost applies), and then experience the smallest of the gorges, Wu Gorge. This excursion is included as we board the smaller sampan boats for a short cruise down the gorge. Tonight we celebrate with the Captain’s Farewell Dinner. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Sunday, May 23​ – Our final day on the river will bring us to the largest hydro-dam in the world, Three Gorges Dam Site. We will disembark in Yichang after lunch. We will do a local city tour and visit the local bungee jump site before heading to the airport for our flight to Shanghai. This evening we check into the Portman Ritz Carlton. (Breakfast and lunch included)

Monday, May 24 – After breakfast today, you have the day at your leisure. (Breakfast included)

Tuesday, May 25​ – After a sumptuous buffet breakfast you will start your day by visiting the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, located in the People’s Square. The focus of the exhibit is a large scale model of the entirety of urban Shanghai. You will then visit the old town and Yu Yuan Garden. The garden was started in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. The name Yu Yuan means Garden of Happiness. After a dim sum lunch you will visit the Bund/Waterfront followed by a visit the French Concession and Xintiandi before returning to the hotel. (Breakfast and lunch included)

Wednesday, May 26​ – Say goodbye to China as you will be transferred to the airport to board your returning flight home. (Breakfast included)
