In the heart of Tuscany - old world charm, endless stunning vistas, and unrivaled food and wine await. The EcoMaratona Chianti hosts a marathon, half-marathon and 13KM. All distances take the runner on trails through woods, vineyards and rolling hills, which have inspired artists for centuries. Entering its 14th year, the marathon begins at Brolio Castle, site of the oldest vineyard in Italy. The day before your race, enjoy the Emozioni Chianti Classico, a leisurely five-hour walk with food and wine tastings at vineyards along the way.
Two nights in the quintessential medieval walled city of Siena and three nights at the intimate Relais Borgo Scopeta in the Tuscan hills are included in your package. In addition, you will enjoy a full day trip to the enchanting towns of Montepulciano and Montalcino. The drive through the Val d’Orcia is one of the most scenic in Italy.
This destination experience appeals to runners and supporters looking for that small boutique event experience. The quaint village of Castelnouvo Berardenga hosts the finish line in an intimate setting with kiosks hosted by local farmers, bakers and wine makers. Optional activities include a cooking class with lunch or e-bike rentals for a wine tour.
This tour is limited to 45 travelers.
Hi, in 2015 I had made the Chianti eco-marathon for the first time and I was enchanted. I came back today and it was still a wonderful experience. The path is extraordinarily beautiful (even more beautiful now than in 2015). Your organization is fantastic: excellent refreshments, all kind and smiling people and a final pasta party that is nowhere to be found. Well done, well done, well done !!!
