Course:  Introduced in 2001, the Sydney Marathon followed the same course as the marathon during the 2000 Summer Olympics the previous year. The marathon and half marathon both finish at the Sydney Opera House, while the shorter runs end at the Royal Botanic Gardens. In 2010 the marathon course was changed to flatten it out which, according to the organizers, makes it "a faster, more scenic and spectator friendly course". The Blackmores Sydney Marathon, Blackmores Half Marathon and the Bridge Run courses are AIMS Certified accurate courses.
Entry Fee: Marathon Tours & Travel will secure your discounted race entry.  Any registrations after Thursday, July 30th at 5:00 PM EST will not receive a personalized race bib (marathon only).  The rates for each event are as follows: 
Marathon - $150
Half Marathon - $105
Bridge Run (10K) - $65
Family Fun Run (3.5K) - $50
Weather: September is the beginning of the spring season in Sydney.  Daytime temperatures will range from 60°F - 68°F (16°C - 20°C).  You will want to be prepared for some potential chilly westerly winds and chance of rain.
Marathon – 18 years +
Half Marathon – 16 years + (participants aged 16 – 18 will be required to sign a special waiver)
Bridge Run (10K) – No age restrictions
Family Fun Run (3.5K) – No age restrictions

Marathon – 6 Hours
Half Marathon – 2 h 45 min
Bridge Run (10K) – 1 h 30 min
Family Fun Run (3.5K0 – 1 h 05 min

Awards: Everyone who finishes their running event within the time limit will receive a commemorative medal.  Marathon finishers will also receive a finishers t-shirt.
