Ann joined the Marathon Tours & Travel team after spending five years working as Group Sales Manager for a domestic tour operator specializing in train travel. She has now been a member of the team for eight years and hopes to continue to expand her knowledge of the world. Since her seventh grade world geography class, she has had an interest in learning about all the world has to offer. During her time majoring in geography at the University of New Hampshire, her love of travel really kicked into high gear after spending a semester abroad in Australia. Let's just say it was love at first flight! She has completed several half-marathons, 10K and 5K's around the globe and in her local community. Ann currently manages trips to Bhutan, Dragon Challenge, Comrades Ultra Marathon, Rio de Janeiro, Big Five, the Australian Outback, Sydney, Cape Town, and Dublin in addition to being an Oceania Cruise Line Specialist.
Ann is positive, kind and highly organized. She is very good with diverse people. Her "emotional intelligence" is outstanding.
All the way through the pre-booking process, the event itself, and post event communication, Ann made her mark in representing the Marathon Tour participants making a wonderful and unique race experience all the more special.
My wife and I are very impressed with you and Marathon Tours. We truly appreciate your hard work, understanding, and flexibility during these very difficult times. I can't wait to go on another trip with Marathon Tours as soon as feasible. I look forward to that day and hope it is sooner rather than later. Good luck to both you and Marathon Tours.
Thank you to Ms. Suter for her excellent piece on what to do if your race is cancelled. Her writing reminded me to refocus on mindfulness and to maintain the training plan for the Outback. Her counsel applies not only to running but to life in general. In line with something Ms. Suter writes, I recently resumed yoga to help deal with the Covid-19 stress. I had started following a Runner’s World yoga DVD in the months prior to Bhutan to prepare spiritually. Ironically I dropped yoga when we returned to the states because I felt too busy!
That leads to my next thought. We were reminiscing the past two days about our wonderful time in Bhutan. Thank you to the great staff at Marathon Tours & Travel. These memories, plus Patagonia and the Big 5 tours, remind us of the beauty in the world. We greatly appreciate the work Ann and Stephanie have done for us. We look forward to traveling again.
Ann and Jacqui were not only knowledgeable about Dublin and the specifics of race day, they even came out to cheer us on! I worked with Ann to book my trip and she was great. Even when she was in Australia, she responded to my emails and answered my questions thoroughly and in a very timely manner.
Anne and Jennifer were amazing. At all times they were looking out for all members of the group and somehow remembered everyone's names and stories so quickly. Please pass on a very big thankyou to both of them, and a special shout out for Jennifer who looked out for me at the end of the marathon when i wasn't feeling very well. Her care and attention was very much appreciated. They were on duty 24/7 but not for a minute did I get a sense of them being 'tired or over' having to respond to everyone's questions and demands. They were enthusiastic, and energizing the whole trip and had very complementary styles and skills. A huge thank you to them both, they were absolutely superb.
Excellent and complimented each other really well. Jennifer's energy is infectious and she sounds like she comes from a really health and well being perspective from her own business. She is very positive and encouraging. Ann is super organised and lets everyone know exactly what is happening. If you have a question I imagine there are not many that Ann could not answer. Ann is a great resource.
Ann was great and I hope I told her so. She was very attentive to the group but down to earth and realistic with everything. She also made sure everything took place as scheduled and there was not one hiccup, at least that I am aware of. This was our first trip and my wife, who was reluctant to do this in the first place, by the time we left was asking when we were going to do another one.
Ann was terrific, Very friendly and outgoing. Also, was sincerely interested in taking care of her group. She is very well organized, and was able to keep the group well organized as a result. Hoping to do another trip where she is Host!
Our family had a wonderful time on the trip. We credit Ann for a large part of our conclusion. My wife accompanied my Son and I for the first time; Ann and rest of group made her feel like one of the group , even though she did not participate in the Race. She had a much more enjoyable experience than I think she expected.
Scott and Ann immediately made every effort to make guests feel welcome and at home, regardless of how far from home that one might be! They're both pros and I very much look forward to the prospect of doing future tours with them.
Stephanie and Anne were delightful. They were always mindful of the special needs of folks in the group and when one gentleman fell, they were right there to make sure he was all right and not needing medical care. They were happy, professional, fun to be around.
As always, EXCELLENT staff onsite from Marathon Tours. Always available to answer questions or just to chat. Kept everything on schedule. Communications were informative.
I can't say enough good things about Ann and Jane. Well organized, knowledgeable and you can tell they are passionate about Rio.
The support leading up to the tour was stellar. Ann Haebler seemed always available to help with something or answer a question. The venue sells itself, it is an amazing package for anyone looking to do the marathon - so many safaris included, we really did manage to see most of the animals.
Nothing short of OUTSTANDING. Ms. Haebler is a professional in every sense of the word - knowledgeable, friendly, thoughtful, and polite.
Ann and Jaquie made the trip better than imagined or expected.
I enjoyed doing this destination trip with a travel group! It was fun, well-planned, but you still had free time to do your own thing! Two thumbs up for Marathon Tours. Jen and Anne were fantastic.
Ann and Jeff are fantastic!! They were super attentive to the guests and a pleasure to talk to. Everything was handled and clearly relayed to all of the guests. They did an amazing job! I am so glad I got to be on the tour with them.
Thanks Ann for planning such a great fun filled event everything was outstanding, better than I had anticipated and the people are amazing.
Special thanks to Ann and Jane - they genuinely care. I can't wait for my next Marathon Tour.
Ann was very responsive, the options were reasonably priced, I didn't have to book a ton of additional services to get the support of Marathon Tours.
Scott, Ann, and other the other Paris tour organizers were excellent!! They were professional and very very nice and genuine people. I felt as if they weren't only there to escort us through Paris for the marathon. They were also marathoners and new friends who could fathom the feelings of other marathoners on the trip which gave us all a connection.
Can't say enough about Ann and Jane. Really appreciate their hard work. And I noticed after the marathon, they were VERY conscientious about everyone's health and well-being (and some of us needed exactly that).
This was an unforgettable event! Starting with Ann Haebler who not only has the patience but the will power to support participants. She's amazing!
