Marathon Tours & Travel

Since 1979, Marathon Tours & Travel has dedicated itself to offering runners and their travel companions extraordinary destination experiences while exploring the seven continents one stride at a time.

Located in Boston, MA - the home of the world's oldest marathon - Marathon Tours & Travel is the Official Travel Agency for the Boston Marathon. We offer the lowest rates at a wide selection of well-located hotels for the Boston Marathon. Additionally, as the official North American travel agency we have guaranteed entry for many of the world's most popular running events including the Virgin Money London Marathon, Tokyo Marathon TCS New York City Marathon, and more than 40 additional experiences.

In 1995, Marathon Tours & Travel created the Antarctica Marathon and Half-Marathon, which generated a new genre of adventure runs. The Antarctica events enabled runners to set and reach the once unthinkable goal of finishing a marathon or half-marathon on all seven continents. Pursuantly, the official Seven Continents ClubTM was formed to recognize these runners and to offer special VIP services to international globetrotting distance runners.

As a full-service IATA appointed travel agency, we provide customized travel services to ensure our clients enjoy the unique travel features that we offer and the camaraderie of celebrating great running accomplishments.

Gold status is conferred on a limited number of global marathons each year and places Cape Town Marathon on the same platform as the great city marathons of the world. Participation of gold-status athletes, a suitable spread of competing countries at elite level and various other technical and media criteria determine the award of status.Read More
