ORGANIZER - The race is under IAAF rules and is organized by Drumbeat, Ltd. and supported by the local community.
COURSE - Runners will run through many of the city's famous avenues and plazas, from the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, where the race starts, towards the Place de la Concorde. From the Rue de Rivoli runners will sweep through the Place de la Bastille. After a glimpse of greenery in the Bois de Vincennes, views of Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower come into view. There are now more than 23,000 international runners in the marathon.
TEMPERATURE – Average temperatures range between 65F and 70F.
ENTRY FEE - The Paris Marathon has a pre-registration period from April 6 - May 6, 2017. The second phase of registrations opens on September 5, 2017 at 8:00am (local Paris time) through a tiered pricing system ranging from 80 Euros to 115 Euros. Once the second and third tier entries sell out we will offer guaranteed entry to the marathon. Guaranteed entry is available for an additional $185. Entry only is not available.
ELIGIBILITY – All runners must be at least 21 year of age. In 2017 there were 57,000 registered runners.
TIME LIMIT - The course time limit is five (5) hours and 40 minutes.
NUMBER PICKUP - You will need to pick-up your race bib at the Salon du Running (Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles, Hall #1) from Thursday, April 5 through Saturday, April 7. Learn more here. More than 200 exhibitors will be at the Expo and the times are:
