Explore one of the most distinctive and beautiful cities in Spain – Barcelona. As the host city for the 1992 Summer Olympics, it is known for its unique architecture, museums, churches and beaches. The fairly flat course will have you starting and finishing below the green hills of Montjuic Park in front of the Magic Fountain. Your race will take you by famous historic sites such as the Camp Nou stadium (home of the FC Barcelona soccer team), the magnificent La Pedrera (the stone quarry) designed by the genius Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi and his cathedral masterpiece Sagrada Familia. You will also see the Hosptial de La Santa Creu I de Sant Pau, another UNESCO World Heritage site. Our four-night package will offer you a fabulous taste of what this city has to offer!

I enjoyed having time to visit with others on the trip, listening to their stories and appreciate this event that brought us together from all parts of the world. The cocktail hour, city tour, breakfast run, and pasta feed were all so wonderful! Then meeting for cocktails after the marathon and sharing our stories was superb!
I'm usually a loner, but took part in the group activities and looked forward to seeing everyone after the race. It was inspiring, supportive, fun, and comfortable. We shared the experience but at the same time each had our own race and accomplishment. It was a perfect balance of planned activities and time to explore on my own. I wouldn't change any part of the plan.
