Friday, June 16
Half day sightseeing tour. Visit famous Corcovado Mountain - a short and scenic train ride through the forest takes you to the summit. Here, 2,400 feet above the city, stands one of South America's most famous and inspiring landmarks -- the 125 foot statue of "Christ the Redeemer." The panorama of the city below is testament to why most visitors consider Rio one of the most spectacular cities in the world. We will make a schedule stop at the Expo to pick up our race kits.
Saturday, June 17
Free day to explore Rio de Janeiro at your leisure.
Sunday, June 18
Race Day! Transportation to the race start and back from the finish line is provided from your hotel. Plans will be made among the group to have a post-race celebration and dinner for those interested.
Monday, June 19
For those interested in purchasing an optional half-day tour before flying home, let us know and we will arrange one for you. Transfer on your own back to the airport for flight back to USA.

Monday, June 19
Transfer to the Rio airport to board your flight to Iguassu Falls. This morning you will tour the Brazilian side of the falls. Starting from the hotel, a moderate walk that takes you high aboce the river to a series of galleries with great views of the Argentinian side. At the end of the path, walk down to a boarwalk which extends to the lower base of Devil's Throat. At the end of the tour we will head back to the hotel and embark on the Macuco Safari.
The big adventure begins inside the Iguassu National Park. The tour starts with a ride through the Macuco Trail in an open jeep-towed wagon permitting a free view of the scenery. During the ride there is a stop for those who want to take a dip in one of the falls (optional). Next head to the Macuco Safari dock on the Brazilian side of the Iguassu River. Borad an inflatable bi-motor boat, The boat travels up-river, passing the canyon, facing the rapids. Rocks, animals and a spectacular green landscape complete the scenery until it reaches the great horseshoe known as the Devil's Throat. To top the tour off, the pilot will give everyone a splash by navigating through the spray of one of the falls! It is recommended that passengers bring a change of clothes, due to the constant spray from the falls and do not bring anything that cannot get wet! Lockers are available at the pier before boarding.
Tuesday, June 20
This morning after breakfast you will be treated to a tour of the Argentine side of the falls. First, we will cross the Tancredo Neves Bridge with its lovely view of the Iguassu Canyon hearing towards Iguacu National Park in Argentina. Here we will visit the upper walkways which allow a different perspective and more intimate contact with the falls. The highlight of the trip is a visit to the suspended platform at the very brink of the Devil's Throat!

After breakfast this morning, private transfer from hotel to airport to board your flight to Rio with connection to the US.
