PRE-MARATHON TRIP TO HONG KONG

 

May 10 (Sun) - Arrive Hong Kong - A cordial welcome by our English speaking local represenative who coordinates your ride to the hotel.  After checking in at the Kowloon Shangri La, you have free time to explore this amazing city that is feverishly modernizing, transforming right before your eyes. 

 

May 11 (Mon) - Whether you are visiting Hong Kong for the first time or returning after a long absence, todays Half Day Hong Kong Island Tour, will provide you with a good orientation of Hong Kong Island.  The tour circles the beautiful island with stops at Stanley Market, where you can stroll through Stanley's famous seaside village bazzar, and Aberdeen Fishing Village, home of the "Boat People" whose lifestayle has not changed much since the early days of their settlement in Hong Kong (15 minute saman ride inncluded).  En route, you will also be able to view the most popular beach in town, Recluse Bay Beach,  and pay a visit to an exquisite jewelry factory where the world's most famous jewelry-seeting art is made.  You will finish your tour of Hong Kong Island with a panoramic ride that brings you up to the Victoria Peak, where the harbor and the city sprawl in front of you.  (B)

 

May 12 (Tue) - Free day at leisure.  Perhaps a visit to the Giant Buddha or a visit the Disneyland Hong Kong will fill your day.

 

May 13 (Wed) - After breakfast today we will depart for the Hong Kong Airport for our flight to Beijjing.
