ISTANBUL EURASIA MARATHON
RUN FROM ASIA TO EUROPE
November 15, 2015
Only one marathon in the world allows you to run on two continents in the same race, the Istanbul Eurasia Marathon on November 16. The Marathon, 15Km, and 10K races both start on the Asian side, cross the Bosphorus and Golden Horn Bridges, pass under the Aqueduct and follow the Marmara Sea beach, to the finish line on the European side at the Hippodrome, one of the oldest race tracks in the world, situated in the historical district of Sultanahmet, famous for its ancient monuments and mosques.
This 2014 event had about 4,200 participants in the marathon; 6,200 in the 15K, and 6,400 in the 10K/8K representing 119 countries.
We are offering two hotels within a short walk from the finish and steps away for all of the important historic attractions including the Blue Mosque, Sultanamet Square, the Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar.,
How about a "Twofer?" Run the Athens Classic Marathon on November 8 and take a short flight across the Adriatic to neighboring Turkey to run again on the following Sunday. We have customized a 11-night package with 6 nights in Athens and 5 nights in Istanbul to fulfill this goal.
Turkish Airways offers new non-stop flights at incredibly low fares from Boston, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Washington, D.C., Houston and Los Angeles
