 2013 EVENT INFORMATION DISTANCES Marathon Half Marathon 11K Run/Walk
6K Walk THE COURSE
The Australian Outback Marathon, Half Marathon, 11km and 6km courses will be predominantly off-road, made up of bush trails, access roads and tracks as well as unsealed roads. Only a small amount of the course will be run on sealed roads. The running surface will consist mainly of the famous "red earth" that can be found all over central Australia, and stunning views of Uluru (Ayres Rock) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) are waiting for you around almost every corner.
ENTRY FEES
All entry fees are included as part of your package. NOTE: There are no Entry Only places available for the Australian Outback Marathon. Entry deadline is May 1 for the event. START TIME
The Marathon will start at 8 am. Other event start times are TBD. CUT-OFF TIMES
Marathon - 8 hours Half Marathon - 4 hours 11K - 3 hours 6K - 1.5 hours
AID STATIONS
Water is provided about every 5K around the course. It is recommended that runners bring personal energy gels for the run.
PERSONAL REFRESHMENTS AND CLOTHING
Personal refreshments can be left on several of the aid station tables (details to be advised at race check-in). Personal clothing can be left at the race start and will be available for collection once you have completed your event. TRANSPORT
All transport for your itinerary is included as part of your package, including private bus transfers from Connellan Airport (Ayers Rock Airport)
FINISHERS T-SHIRTS, MEDALS AND CERTIFICATES
All finishers will receive a specially created commemorative medal, t-shirt, and a finishers certificate (available online).

The average daytime temperature is 21 degrees Celsius/70 Fahrenheit
The average night time temperature is 5 degrees Celsius/40 Fahrenheit
RACE PACKETS
Your race packets will be available on your arrival at the the resort and will include: •Your race number
•Your event t- shirt (not guaranteed for late entries)
•Your entry bands for your tours and pasta dinner (please see itinerary for specific details of included tours/events).
