 EVENT INFORMATION Enter through Marathon Tours to get 50% discount on your entry fee!! The Tamarindo Beach Marathon, Half Marathon, 30K and 10K will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2012, in the Guancaste area of Costa Rica's Pacific coast. Course: Runners will run through downtown Tamarindo and the nearby towns of Villareal, Matapalo,  Huacas and Brasilito. The courses are all out-and-back on asphalt roads (with the exception of the first and last 1/2 mile which is on a dirt road ) with some rolling hills. The mostly-rural roads are not closed to traffic. Marathon time limit is 6 hours. Start and finish right outside the Tamarindo Diria Host Hotel. Weather: Weather is warm and humid with average temps ranging from the low 70s before sunrise to the mid-80s in the afternoon. Rain storms are more likely to occur in the afternoon than in the morning.

Eligibility: All marathon runners must be at least 18 years of age.
Awards: Every runner receives a medal and commemorative T-shirt. Age group awards TBD.
