New for 2011: The Florence Marathon has changed the course for the 2011 race. No longer starting at Piazzale Michaelangelo, the course now begins in the city, from Lungarno Pecori, just 500 meters from our chosen hotel. You will run past the city's most historic sites including Piazza del Duomo, Catherdral Square, Piazza della Signoria, Pitti Palace, and the famous bridge Ponte Vecchio. This flat and fast course boasts the 4th fastest time on Italian soil by Kenyan James Kutto in a time of 2:08:40.
Expected temperatures range from 45 to 60 degrees.
