Paris Marathon Event Information

 

 

EVENT INFORMATION

 

Date: April 12, 2015

 

Course: The almost loop course starts on the Champs Elysees and runs down past the Place de la Concorde. Several miles are run in the Bois be Bologne, then along the Seine, past the Eiffel Tower and the Left Bank with the finish on Avenue Foch. It is mostly flat and considered quite fast.

 

Weather: Average temperatures range between 50F-65F. Ideal conditions for running.

 

Entry: The new lottery system for the event has now closed.  Did you get your acceptance letter from the Paris Marathon?  If you have been accepted please consider submitting your Booking Form and deposit now to hold your hotel reservation.  Did you miss the entry window for the lottery? Please contact Marathon Tours.  We can offer guaranteed entry in conjunction with the booking of one of our selected hotels or packages.

 

Marathon Tours will offer a guaranteed entry for those who missed the ballot and lottery process. Please contact our office if you would like to be contacted and purchase a guaranteed entry in conjunction with one of our selected properties or packages. 

 

Eligibility: All runners must be at least 18 years of age. The event is limited to 42,000 runners.  All runners are required to submit a physician's note attesting to their ability to participate in the marathon.  Contact our office for a copy of the required form.

 

Awards: Every runner finishing under 6:00 receives a medal.
